Kashmir Hindus were ousted by Muslims. Even during the recent Mumbai attacks perpetrators gave a interview to the news channel saying that it is an attack on the Hindu India.
Still Hindus maintained communal harmony even though Antulay, a muslim ,tried to take advantage of the situation.Still people like you carp about Muslim discrimination.
What is this desperation to keep the almost non-existent (Hindus-hate Muslims, Hindus hate Christians)hatred/discrimination alive even though reality time and again proves the harmony of Hindus.
Even after all this I believe the truth that be it Hindus/Muslims/Christians... we are human beings and equal by the very virtue .
US just elected a President who father and step father are Muslims. And that is great and the world appreciates that because it shows that this country can judge a person by his skills or character and not get stuck in bigoted views about muslims or other minorities. And we love this country for that
But when it comes to India, don't you think of voting for Rahul gandhi because he might have some blood of either a parsi or ('god forbid') muslim in him. That certainly should dis qualify him, shouldn't it. Nepotism is certainly bad but this takes the cake. Dont vote for him because he might be 10% parsi/muslim (I am sure you have not forgotten about the italian heritage but you can raise that later). There is the freedom to change jobs and apply for a new TN each time. There is no 6 year or any sort of time cap - TN can be renewed indefinitely..a TN only costs $50 to renew for each year and can be filed without an attorney by mail. No need to physcially go anywhere.
Drawbacks.
1. Spouses/Dependents get TD which is as restrictive as H4
2. There is a fixed list of professions and minimum education qualifications that you/your intended employment HAVE to satisfy to qualify for a TN. Experience cannot be used to substitute lack of education..

Please do not misunderstand my response to your earlier post, I was in no way pointing fingers at you but was trying to clear common misconception that IV must not be looked at like a software company doing good or bad at shares.

One important point from the document: If employer can not directly control/supervise his employee's work and then H1B new petition/extension may not be approved.

right point to note.
Also out of the 65K H1 visas that were available since 2003, most of the Visas were consumed by the Big Indian companies.
Remember when Congress sent letters to the Big Indian companies, there was data related to how many companies applied for how many Visas.
AFAIK it was in the range of 25k-35k per year combined by all these companies that filed H1s .
One thing to note is, they do not sponsor GCs for all the applicants.They do them very rarely for the people who are in their 5th to 6th year of H1.Could be in the range of Hundereds and not thousands comapred to the people count they have in US.

We plan to settle in Calgary, but after I've heard of the new MS office in BC, I might seek to go to Vancouver -- the time will tell.
I've been in the USA for almost 13 years, got two of my bachelor's degrees here, 9 years of progressive IT experience. Three companies and three I-485 attempts later, I've been stuck in retrogression over the last 2.5 years. My family, my business, my life -- everything has been affected, much the same as for most folks on this forum. So, with two US-born kids we'll go up North; our friends are waiting for us in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver.

I am expecting a quick forward movement in the EB2 India/China category in the next year bulletins.
We have found out that we have about 10 times increase in EB2 India visa numbers from our calculations. I doubt it whether any attorney had any idea better than us, about the numbers we are getting for EB2 India/China from horizontal spill overs. In Ron's post he is no where mntioned any numbers other than saying that CIS is not able to process these many applications. I would be more than happy if some body in our forum posts, the "visa numbers calculations" we have done in this thread, into to his website.
Theres no doubt in the EB2 India/China will catch up current very soon. This is inevitable. There might be a mild retrogression for a very short span of time in the next few bulletins. But after that the dates will run like catching up the Current.

I am surprised that this is even a headline news in TOI. SRK detained at US airport for 2 hours. So what? Big deal. TSA didn't ask him to sing or dance, but just questioned him on the purpose of his visit, which is part of their job.
US has got every right to protect her homeland and no one has got any right to question their procedures when it comes to national security. Because of such stronger measures there hasn't been a single terrorist incident in US since 09/11. The least we could do is to learn from them and implement such stronger measures in India, which by the way has become a playground for terrorists and anti social elements.

They don't need to get the greencard approved before the i-94 card expires.
They only need to file the 485 within six months of expiry of the I-94 card. Once the 485 is filed then they are in a period of authorized stay.
